	Fortieth Annual Junior Tennis Tournament

	1.	Competitors must of or under the required age before midnight 30th September 20011
	2.	The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the game as adopted by Tennis Victoria
	3.	Regulation Tennis costumes must be worn. The use of shoes with heals is prohibited. Tracksuits will not be permitted during play.
	4.	Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in all events.
	5.	Play will begin on Monday 21st September, 2009 at 8:30am. and each day thereafter at 8:30am. All competitors must be ready to play at the time appointed, irrespective of weather condition. Any competitor not ready to play when called will forfeit the match.
	6.	Competitors may enter for two singles, and two doubles, which must be in two consecutive age groups. (i.e. their own age group or higher)
	7.	Events 1, 3, 5, 7, 13, 15, 17, 19 will be wherever practicable best of three sets,. all 12 point tie break at 6 all.
		Events 2, 4, 6, 8, 14, 16, 18, 20 will be 10 game sets, tie break at 10 all. All other events will be Round Robins..
	8.	The Tournament Committee reserve the right to cancel any events, or to combine any events or to reject entries in any event or to reduce the length of matches.
	9.	The tournament will be conducted in accordance to Tennis Australia Rules and Regulations and Code of Cunduct. Tennis Australia may penalise or suspend players for breach of the Code of Cunduct.
	10.	There will be amaximum of 32 players in each event.
	11.	All players must bag and water the courts after each set.
	12.	For doubles events, partners will be arranged if required.
	13.	Competitors will be rquired to umpire matches.
	14.	Players should check the club website www.essendontc.com.au for singles draw and starting times.
